The Auckland Council is seeking expressions of
interest from individuals seeking to sit on its
Heritage Advisory Panel. The panel will provide
advice and input into the council's decision-
making processes, focusing on historic heritage.
This includes council policy and initiatives as
well as input via the Auckland Urban Design
Panel into resource consents and Resource
Management Act related changes.
The foundation panel will be made up of
members involved with community interests,
as well as professional experts from a wide
range of heritage disciplines. Appointments are
for an initial 12 month period, with eligibility for
re-appointment following a review of the panel.

Local Board Plan
Auckland's 21 local boards have released
their Draft Local Board Plans for public
The draft local board plans set out the
aspirations and priorities for Auckland's
communities for the next three years and
beyond and provide the local boards with a
framework to undertake activities on behalf
of their local communities.
Soon a summary of the draft local board plan
for your area will be delivered to your
letterbox. The summary includes a freepost
submission form for you to fill out so that you
can tell your local board what you think of the
draft local board plan and the priorities that
have been identified for your community.
You can make your submission by using
the freepost form or by going online to

The submission period begins on 8 July and
closes at 4pm Monday, 8 August.

1. In accepting an advertisement for
publication we rely on the advertiser's
express warranty, the truth of which is

our part, or in a claim against us.
2. The advertiser indemnifies us against
losses or costs from any breach of
warranties by the advertiser, and from
costs incurred in making corrections or
amendments in accordance with the

us a perpetual, royalty free license to
reproduce it in any print or electronic
media we offer now or in the future.
4. Where the advertiser uses our creative
services they acknowledge we own the
